Alexandr Kanchik

Maestro Giuseppe Messina was born in Gale, Italy. In the second half of the 1960s, he moved to Rome, where he came into contact with the high world of culture. After a trip to Italy, he went abroad. Inspired by the masterpieces of world culture, he returned to Sicily and in 1981 founded the "Movement for the Development of Culture", and in 1985 - the magazine "La molla".

“How does it all start? Why do young people become artists? The young man begins to become himself, to try on the lives of great artists! It is exciting and stimulating. Take any master: Velazquez, Raphael, El Greco, Goya; no matter which one.

The young man sees himself just beginning his path both in life and in art: through books, films, albums. Trying on someone else's fate and life! And this begins to excite him, his imagination draws fantastic, gratifying scenes of that alien, but, as it were, his own life. Everything has disappeared – the bacillus of creativity has already entered his mind, from which he will never again get rid of ...”
