Giuseppe Messina

Maestro Giuseppe Messina was born in Gala. In the second half of the sixties he moved to Rome, where he came into contact with the great world of culture. After returning to Sicily in 1981 he founded the "Movement for the Dissemination of Culture" and in 1985 the magazine "La molla". He is a sculptor, painter and writer, he is also involved in journalism, especially art and literary criticism, as well as theatre and film, for which he has created and interpreted many works. His particular interest in classical literature and mythology allowed him to write several poems.
